Why We Don’t Install Agricultural Fences

When people think about rural fencing, they often picture barbed wire stretched between T-posts or wooden posts running across a pasture. These are what we call agricultural fences. While these types of fences serve a purpose on farms and ranches, they’re not what we specialize in at The Fence Company.
Agricultural Fences: Built for Utility, Not for Homes
Agricultural fences — like T-posts with barbed wire or wood posts with barbed wire — are designed first and foremost for livestock containment. They’re affordable and quick to install, but they aren’t built with appearance, property value, or long-term durability in mind. For that reason, we don’t offer them as part of our services.
What We Do Instead: Ranch & Decorative Rail Fencing
While we don’t build barbed wire fences, we do specialize in post-and-rail fences that combine function with curb appeal. These include:
2, 3, 4, and 5 Rail Fences – Great for defining property lines, keeping larger animals in, and adding a classic ranch-style look to your land.
Crossbuck Fences – A timeless design that combines strength with an elegant, traditional appearance.
These options provide a clean, finished look while still delivering the functionality many homeowners and landowners want.
Why This Matters for Our Customers
We focus on fences that not only serve a purpose but also enhance your property. Our goal is to build structures that are sturdy, beautiful, and add lasting value to your home or land. That’s why we steer away from basic agricultural fencing and instead put our craftsmanship into products that elevate your property.
Final Word
If you’re looking for a simple barbed wire fence, we’re not the right fit. But if you want a rail or crossbuck fence that combines durability, style, and quality craftsmanship, that’s exactly what we do best.
